I cannot get a screen allowing me to manually enter a payment. It takes me only to a screen where I am supposed to tap the card.
I don't have the card available

It can depend on how you have other payments set up on your device. under Menu - Settings - Checkout - Payment - scroll down to see if manual credit card entry is enabled.
On mine, I have it under more on the screen where it is waiting for a tap or cash etc.
