Importing/Exporting Service Library?
Is there an easy way to import/export service library the same way that the item library is handled? Trying to redo my register options for faster operations in my clinic. Thanks in advance!

Hi @RSPoke4Well. That functionality does not exist at the present time. I double-checked a few ideas I had but ran into brick walls. So, all I can do is suggest that you head over to the Ideate Board and submit a feature request to the Appointments team to add this functionality. This will get the evaluation ball rolling and hopefully end with a new feature being added to the future roadmap for Appointments and Services.

There is an option to Import Service List as .CSV or .XLSX files... But I think it is very basic (maybe because the option is being tested).
Right now, under "Service Library Builder" we have:
* The Downloadable CSV Template "service_upload_template.csv", with these 5 fields:
service_name (service text name)
description (Service text description)
duration (time)
fixed_or_variable_price (fixed/variable)
price (numeric)
I think it could be useful to add 2 more fields (taken from items) with pertinent info:
square_online_service_visibility (visible/hidden)
tax (Y/N)
And we would like to know how to add other fields, such as:
-Main Service VS -Service Variation
Button Color + Button Text (as seen in the "Checkout" screen as Favorites)
Category (Parent category for each service)
Cancellation Fee (numeric)
Block extra time after apptmt (time)
Show pricing description (info shown to online clients)
Thanks!!

Hello @BlanStyles 👋
You can add those and many more fields to your CSV file!
You can find a glossary here that includes all the fields that can be imported from a CSV file.
Thank you ✨

Is this option still available? I'm losing my mind trying to find a way to get my service library into a spreadsheet so I can do a bulk price increase. Having to do each one by hand is so backwards its not even funny that this service left us without this function

Hi, JReyes01, I think your solution is in this article:
https://squareup.com/help/ca/en/article/5966-item-library-and-unit-cost-management
A paid option (or with free-30 day trial) from "Square for Retail".
-Export your library to Excel format:
-Square > Items > Actions > Export
Best regards!
