Welcome to the Square Forum as I seee this is your first post.
When you create an Item you can set how many are available, and when you sell 1 it reduces this count by 1. When it reaches 0 Square tells you on the POS that the item has 0 Available are you sure you want to add this item. The inventory will be negative if you do or some other similar wording. So with Square you could actually sell more than you have showing in inventory, but you are given a warning before you do this. The reason for this is for businesses like mine. We make our own candles and we might get an order for more than we have on hand, but can have them made in a few days. Sometimes the customer is good with that and Pays for the entire order which has us at a negative in inventory.
On your device you can look at the Reports tab and see Sales and there is a toggle between Gross and Count.
This will either show you the top or bottom 5 or 10 items depending on how you toggle this.
Now to see a Full list you can go to :
https://squareup.com/dashboard/sales/reports/item-sales
Square Dashboard on a computer > Reports > Reports > Items sales
When you are there you can export this to a CSV file to open with Google Sheets or Excel or any other Spreadsheet.
