@dainraydevon are you just wanting to ring up a price sale? Or are you wanting to keep a detailed sale of each item?
If you just want to make a sale when you open the Square POS look at the top for Keypad, tap it and you can ring in a dollar amount like that.
If you are wanting to keep track of each item you sell. You can do this on the Square dashboard or on the POS.
On the Square dashboard, log into Square, then tap on Items/ Item Library/ create items. From there it is just like filling out a form. Item name, description, photo, price and inventory. Then save it.
On the POS in the lower right hand corner tap More, then items, then create Item. The process is the same as doing it on the dashboard.
If you have a few items you can add them as tiles on the POS, it you have a lot of items then I would separate then into categories. You can assign each item into a category as you are adding each item.
To make a category on the Square dashboard.
Go to the dashboard, then tap items, on the left hand side you will see categories tap that and then select Create category, You can name it books, shirts, whatever you would like.
On the POS
Tap MORE, then items, then categories. In the upper right hand corner you will see a blue plus sign tap it to add a category. Then add a category.
To add an item or category to your favorites page on POS
Open the Square POS, then tap Favorites at the top.
Then press and hold one of the blank tiles, until a plugs sign appears.
Tap the plus sign on the first tile and a screen will pop up where you can add a whole category or an individual item.
After you add your item or category it will appear as a tile on the favorites page. This makes it easier for ringing up items. If you have barcodes on your items you can add the barcode while entering the description and you can use a barcode scanner to ring up that sale.
