Hi, can someone confirm that when syncing my menu from Square POS to Doordash that inventory data does or does not pass through?
Example: in Square I have an item that I am managing inventory for and we have 10 of them. This item is also being advertised to order through Doordash. If a Doordash customer purchases it, does the Square inventory get updated properly?
Similarly, if I mark an item as sold out (or set the inventory to 0) in Square, does that get passed through the menu sync to Doordash so customers then cannot order it?
Thank you

Hi there again @BellesIceCream - Thanks so much for your patience here.
The team let me know that, "Doordash is integrated with the Square catalog, so if the Seller is tracking inventory in Square, when an item is sold on Doordash, it will decrement the inventory in Square.
Doordash should also support sold out/item 86ing - when an item is toggled to ‘sold out’ or the inventory count reaches zero, Doordash should reflect this in close to real time (2-10 minutes) and not allow the item to be purchased on their marketplace.
This article on the Doordash site covers this and several other FAQs."
I hope this information is helpful but please do let me know if you have any additional questions.

Hi there, @BellesIceCream - Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Seller Community.
I'm not sure of the answer to this one myself, so I'm going to consult with the team that manages the integration with DoorDash on this one to get the best answer for you.
I'll reach back out to you here once I gather more info!

Thank you. My shop is closed for the Winter but will be opening up in March. I will test this for sure, as this has not been my experience at all during our 2023 season. I hope this works! Thank you again!
