Can you use an impact printer instead of a thermal printer for receipts?

Hello,

I am using the Square Stand. I'd like to use normal receipt paper instead of thermal printer paper, but wasn't sure if this is possible.

I have heard that folks have had success with the SP700 series of impact printers for kitchen tickets. What I'm wondering is if that Star impact printer series could be used to print receipts? 

All of the compatible receipt printer options I saw listed appear to be thermal printers, which I am not interested in.

Hello @madalyn !

Impact printers are definitely supported! Check out the hardware compatibility guide. It looks like a few Star impact printers are supported with the Square Stand.

I don’t believe impact kitchen printers can be used for receipts unfortunately.
