Can I use a non square card reader with square application? My non profit was given a thousand 2 strip, non square card readers ... can we possibley use them with square, If so what is the specs?

No, The square reader sends encrypted card information that only the Square Register software can read.
you can get one locally at a walgreens or other store for $10 and get that back as a credit to your account or you can ask for a free one to be mailled in 2 weeks or so.
