Accepting Group Orders for Business Meetings and Lunches

I'd like to be able to have a business or group come to our website and start a group order. Other people could then add their name and item to that order. As a restaurant owner we'd get notified of an upcoming group order and be able to see items being added. We could control how far in advance we need.

Besides owning a small coffee shop/cafe I have a software background so I started to build a tool for other restaurants so we could have a competitive edge over large chains. I'm wondering if there is interest from others in something like this or if I should just build it for our own place?

Ok, I found it in checkout settings. I guess I was hoping it would notify me when someone is starting a group order and allow me to tweaks the times. E.g. if it is an order for 15 people we will need more time to fulfill it. I'll keep looking as it would be great to see when people start a cart.

You can control that in the Fulfillment settings. There you could set your prep time for all orders and include how many orders per 15 minute window you want to allow. This helps you space out orders if too many people are ordering at once. You could also adjust prep time per item, which lets you set a longer prep time for an item that takes a lot more time to make
