Hey @AmericanDandD. Welcome to Square. To answer your question, I most certainly recommend it. Since you will be selling items and services at your bricks-and-mortar store using Square, the advantage to using Square Online is that everything is in one place. When you make changes to your item catalog and so forth, those changes will be made in your POS as well as in your online store. You don’t need to keep two item catalogs, two customer lists, and so forth. Besides your online store, Square Online offers a wide range of tools for building a website for you to showcase your business. I’ve used it to create a very functional and information web site for my ice cream shop (link is in my signature block below).
I believe that you can sign up for a 30-day free trial of Square Online so I’d recommend doing that and then blocking out some time to try to build your website. It doesn’t have to be fully functional, but by playing around with the site builder you’ll get a good idea of whether or not it will work for you. And, if you need something Square doesn’t offer, better to know sooner than later so that you can go to Square's App Marketplace and look for third-party site builders that integrate with your Square account, which is another great alternative.
I’ve been working with Square Online for years now, so if you find that you have any questions feel free to come back here and post them. Otherwise, welcome to the Seller Community. We’re here to assist you to be successfully with Square however we possible can.
Regards,
