Use images from image library for category images?

I've notice a couple things today. There appears to be no way to use images from the image gallery that I've already uploaded product images to for the category image. This wouldn't be such a big deal if webp images worked, but they don't. If I download a webp image, I can upload it for the category image but it does not display. Please add the ability to use existing images for category images and enable the use of webp images. If anyone has suggestions to make this easier I'm happy to hear them! Yes, I can convert them and that’s what I was doing. It’s just a long process. I just don’t understand why we can’t use images from the gallery or why it lets us upload webp but won’t display them.

HI, you can change the setting on your camera from webp to jpg.

I understand that too. But that does t solve the problem of just using the images that are already uploaded.

HI, the Square platform does not support webp.  All images are jpg.  

It is Square's platform, we either agree use it or move on to another platform.  Simple.

HI, THANK YOU!!  I enjoy helping. Yes, Square is simple. People come from other platforms with many features expecting the same.  Pricing here is a bit lower so it evens out.  Not all platforms will work 100% for everyone.  Other platforms may offer webp but not offer something else.  It's a give and take when it comes to a platform.

All I’m saying is that if it’s simple, don’t allow webp uploads and then not display them. Simple would be allowing for using existing images that are already uploaded. This was meant more for a suggestion for square than actual support. But thanks for trying.
