Unable to edit/add DNS records

I'm trying to transfer my domain over to Shopify. I've been given instruction to edit/add my DNS settings to point to my Shopify account and told it takes 24 hours to reflect. It's been three days and my edits nor add is showing at all. Is there anything else I'm missing to get my domain to transfer successfully?
