Trouble syncing Etsy and Square
We have an Etsy store and also have and use the Square Website. We seem to have a problem when we go and sync Etsy to Square. Every time we do this and go into Square, ALL our items are now missing their prices and quantity. Not just what we tried to sync from Etsy but all our items on the website. Yes, we ask for all that information to be sync. We did not have this problem before having the on-line Square Website. We don't even sync our new items from our Etsy store anymore because we don't have time to go in and redo everything and add back in the pricing and quantity on every single product. We are really getting tired of adding new items to our Etsy store and then having to go to Square and adding them to the website. There has to be a better way. The reason we sync is so the inventory will stay correct and up to date. We now have to go in and change inventory every time something sells on Etsy and vice versa.

We have a similar need for our eBay store. It is such a pain to have to create 2 listings, one in eBay and one in Square. We would LOVE the ability to sync between the 2 stores easily, both when creating listings and when sales occur in either channel.

My etsy store looks to be synched with square, however in Square, it says "last synched-NEVER" and when I try to check someone out, I can't seem to add an item to the "cart" I have been having to just manually key in the price for time's sake and then I have to try and remember what I sold and remove it manually from my etsy inventory. I need HELP and I can't get any. Unfortunately, the event I am selling at is on a weekend and I can't get any help with this. I tried to synch my etsy items again and I keep getting an error message saying there is a problem synching my items!

Yes, when we try to sync our Etsy with Square we get the same message and then when we go to Square all our pricing and quantity is missing. That's why we stopped syncing.

Have you all reached out to Etsy at all to see if there is something on their end? When it comes to integrations it would be best to reach out to the partner first since I cannot see into the integration on their side.
Also, Etsy has a Help Center article in regards about us too.
If they give you the all clear, please circle back with me. I will help you take a deeper look.

Kassi, in our case it is eBay, not Etsy. Does that change your answer any?

Unfortunately, you wouldn't be able to use Square with Ebay. They are particular about the payment processors they use, like Paypal.

We feel that that's not our job. Pushing it back to us, is not our responsibility. If Etsy has it on their site and you are partnered with them, then it's up to the two of you to figure out what and why things aren't working. We're not playing the go between. It's a problem between the two of you. You contact Etsy and yes, we read that Help Center article 3yrs ago.

I have the same issue and I agree with Riley3 that it should not be up to us to fix their integration. When I sync my Etsy with Square I don't get skus or stock numbers. Really frustrating. I really hope Square and Etsy can work out their integration because its pretty useless

The Etsy to Square integration does not work at all any more. Why won't they fix it? They really should remove all reference to it in their help sections. It's useless.

At this time the Etsy integration is maintained by them. I suggest reaching out to their support team directly so they can assist in making sure the integration works correctly @Bamasbuttons.

@JJ_ Telling the seller community on this thread that Etsy integration is maintained by them and you suggest (that we should be) reaching out to Etsy's support team directly so they can assist in making sure the integration works correctly, is absolutely WRONG!! The integration is also a part of Square and SQUARE is the one that should be reaching out with the ETSY Support Team to work it out and FIX IT!! I get so tired of people/companies pushing it off to the "little" guy to FIX their problem because they don't want to deal with it, "not my problem, it's their problem" attitude has to stop. This is a Square and Etsy problem, not the sellers problem. Square and Etsy have access to the back end of everything and if something is not working, then Square and Etsy should figure out what the problem is and FIX IT. Don't ask us again to FIX it!! We told @Kassi_ this on 9-2021, glad to see nothing happened. @Bamasbuttons @Danilyn22

I am also.. Etsy refers us to square and square to Etsy. Either way it’s irritating!
