I have been approved for Instagram Shopping but when I try to tag a product I get the message "This product does not use the domain you selected for Instagram Shopping". I don't know what this means, or where to fix it. Square? Facebook? Instagram? The domain I'm using is the free Square shopping URL which ends in square.site. Anyone else experienced this?

I did some Googling of that error message, and it seems like this is some kind of error on Facebook or Instagram's end. It does sound like some people were able to solve that by going into their Facebook Business manager settings and verifying the domain name there. If you try that, make sure to do the verification tag option so you can use that as a header code in Website > Integrations within the Square Online overview page.

Took me forever to figure this out, but I had to go into Instagram Settings-->Business-->Shopping-->Website and update the website to my Square site. I thought it was already set to that, but turns out it was set to my old WooCommerce site (which I couldn't get to work with FB/IG).

FOR SHOPIFY:
Actually as of 12/22/2022 this has been updated on Instagram. I had to go to:
Professional Dashboard -> Shops -> Edit Website -> Then my URL appeared.
I also added some FB code in the <head> of my Shopify Theme code for Domain Verification:

It's a process y'all!!!

OMG so i just solved this!! i still cant believe it cause I've been going at this problem for hours.
Basically, the message is; "this product does not use the domain you selected for your shop on Instagram." its saying that whatever you put on your business manager as your domain link and the product link you put in your catalog isn't the same. for me I'm selling from etsy so I put my etsy link tteourr.etsy.com as my domain link which was verified for shopping but for each product ofcourse I put the individual products links and basically Instagram saw that for the product it didn't match the domain link I put. so all you need to do is go to commerce manager on facebook >>> catalog >>> items >>> and for each item, change the link you put for your product to your domain link and they'll all become available for tagging on Instagram immediately. i just tried it out rn and it worked. I'm so happy!!!
but yeah goodluck guys!
