Suggestions For Building Site For Client

Hello. I have been asked to build a 1 page website for a potential client after they looked at mine on square. Whats the best route to take to get their domain name up and should I start them with the basic free package or what? I built mine using the free basic plan. However, I can’t insert videos to my knowledge with the “free plan”  or use certain features. Also, should I worry about “SEO” if all they are wanting is a basic 1 page website? It is for a musician. Does anyone have a sample “basic 1 page website” contract template I can use? Any other suggestions? Thanks for your help. 😉

Hello @KJ8 You bring up great questions!

Your client's priorities and goals for their website will inform the design and determine the Square Online plan needed.
For example, if video content engages site visitors for a musician, a paid plan will accommodate this feature:

If your client needs a custom domain connected, a paid plan is required:

SEO and Accessibility should be included in the setup and design.
Square has helpful support articles on these topics, listed below:

Square Invoices is easy to use and can generate project estimates. (I use the free plan; each estimate is created to meet client specifications.) This help article compares Invoices plan features and includes sample estimate and contract links:

The first step in my design process is learning about the client and giving them an opportunity to identify essential content for their website/online store. I composed an online form to collect information and often refine it as clients offer insight into their website needs: https://www.taylorandjones.design/website-review-questions

I hope you find this information helpful and wish you success with the website project!
