In the image below we have a category called “Breakfast Foods”. This category has no items. It has two subcategories which are displayed as “Burritos and Bowls” and “Other Breakfast”
if i add items to the breakfast foods category, the sub categories no longer display. It only show the category items. Is there a way to display both subcategories and items when a category contains both?

HI, Breakfast Foods is now a placeholder for the subcategories. If you add to Breakfast Foods then it is a regular category. It can not be both.

Thank you for your reply. A category should be a container. Any container may contain objects or other containers. Any query of the container’s contents should return a list of both objects and containers.
It should not be an either or situation where it can only display objects or other containers.
In our business, we have such a diversity of products that we have to group certain objects into multiple subcategories. Otherwise our categories would be overly cumbersome with 100’s of items. But we need a way to display both objects and containers within our larger categories. Thanks.
