Square just deleted all of the items in an entire category??

Since removing the Square Online Items page and moving it to the regular items page, everything has been awful. Bulk editing was SO much easier the other way. We went in to bulk delete everything on our sale page that was sold out. I applied the "sold out" filter and also the "has a sale price" filter. I triple checked that everything in there said it had 0 stock and it did. Some items it was just deleting the variations that were sold out, some it was the whole item because all of the variations were sold out. I hit delete, it popped up an error message, so I tried again. An error message popped up again, so I hit cancel. Then went to sort by just "has a sale price" to see the sale items and everything was gone. Almost 300 items deleted.

This new update is a huge step back. The functionality on the online side was so. much. better. 

 

I'm not sure why with all these migrations we are losing so much functionality.

 

When we ask for it back we're told it's a "feature request" when it already WAS a feature and we want it back.. the communication around these updates has been terrible and getting through to people with agency to move the needle on these issues has become increasingly difficult.

 

for Christmas I'd LOVE to have coffee with the CEO of Square.... he needs to go on the show where the CEOs work in a company undercover- except he needs to work for us and use his product.LOL

I can have the Engineering team revert your item library back to a specific date and time if you would like.

 

Disclaimer though, any changes that have been made since would be lost and your item library will be reverted back to how it was at the specific date/time you would like. If you want to move forward, what specific date/time do you want your item library reverted back to?

10-23-24 @ 11am just to be safe. Will stock for things sold between then and now revert as well? And what about sales after that time, will they still show and will the money still be in my balance?

The revert doesn't affect stock or the money balance of the account. The only thing it does is revert the item library itself but not the stock levels.
