Square Item Catalog Not syncing my inventory stock when uploaded on my square online

Every time I upload new items (and in turn my inventory stock) into my Square Item Inventory, they do not upload to my Square Online Inventory.

 

For example, I just added 2 items with multiple variations to my catalog excel sheet that I uploaded to my online store and when I went in to edit those items, the stock says "0" on hand. When I go to edit the stock, and I click stock received, when I add the new number it doubles it. So it says zero when it should say 999, and then I go to add stock as 999, and now it says 1998.

 

I would like it when I put an item into my square inventory for it to update to my square online inventory exactly as I have entered it into the square inventory. It is taking me forever having to go in manually for each item and variation and redoing my stock count so that it shows on my website.

I could be wrong but from my reading of your issue, you enter the new quantity in a csv file upload it to the Square Items Catalog through the Dashboard.  Then you goto your website but then newly added item shows 0 in stock.  You go back to the Square Dashboard add the Quantity You should have.  Then go back to your Online Store to see you have 2 times more then you should have. 

If all this is correct their could be 2 different reasons for this:

  1.  Your web browsers Cache showed the original as out of stock the first time but then saw the change the second time when your Quantities were Doubled.
  2. The Website was still in process of updating from Square the Import from the Csv and was not fully showing in the website.  Then when you went back and manually started doubling the quantity, slower process, the website was able to process this as you pressed enter adding it to your Previously slowly updated site.     

Next time try this, Upload your CSV to Squares Dashboard.  Then in your web Browser Clear it Cache and Cookies.  Wait another 15 min and then try checking your website.  Or do the above on your cell and wait 5 min after uploading is complete, The internet is fast but it still takes time from when you Upload your CSV to Square, for all the new updates to populate to your POS devices and the Website.  Sometimes after I create a new Item on My Square Stand #2, Square Stand #1 is not able to find the item in my catalog.  I then press More > Items > search for the new item, then exit back to checkout screen scan that item and it will appear.  Maybe there is a way for you to check for Catalog updates or Items on your website Before adjusting the Quantity again and having it doubled.
