Shared Inventory

My business attends off-site markets that are on my website as seperate locations so that customers can place orders for pick up there. These markets draw products from our main inventory. Right now, the only way I can figure out how to keep up with what is in stock is to assign a specific number of an item to each location. This is complicated and hard to keep up with since I have to keep moving items around to keep the inventory accurate. Is there any way to set up one main inventory that all the locations can draw from? It doesn't seem that there is. Is there a work around that can be done? Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

The only thing  I can think of is having your main Location Track the inventory count.  Then have your Pos Stations assigned Device codes and name the device as a Location.  Then on your website when customers Place an order for 10 Widgets for example, have the customer select or comment for which location.  The issue I am having is I do not use Square Website with more than 1 location for pick up and do not fully understand how that works.  If the locations also are by date and not have open 5 locations on the same date that may work to define where the customer will pickup their order.

I have one location and when I do off site sales, I rename an Ipad to the Locations name.  That way any sale made on that Ipad will show the Locations name for the sale.   As for inventory for said location, I just bring with me X amount.  When it sells it decreases the inventory from the main location.  Only problem would be is if my main location has say 60 Lilac Candles, I take 30 to an event, and on that day at my main location people are over buy Lilac that day and want to buy over the 30 that were left in the store, or Vice Versa at the off site Location.  Yes the Candles that were physically sold would decrease over all inventory correctly but I may have lost a few sales.  I figure since I bring back the inventory to the one location, that is all I have to worry about.

This may have not helped with your exact question but it may give you ideas to help you with it.

Thanks for your reply Keith, I appreciate your suggestions. The problem is, each location has a different order deadline and pick-up date and sometimes different items are available. Your suggestions are interesting and I may be able to figure out some kind of workaround with some of your strategies.  I am surprised that Square does not have an option for a Main Inventory from which different locations can pull from. I am sure that other places could use this option too. Hopefully they will consider adding it.

Thanks again!
