Selling items that need to be ordered

Hi! I have a shop where I sell very large expensive items that are ordered from the manufacturer and then drop shipped to the customer. I also sell smaller items that are always in stock in my brick and mortar shop and can be shipped immediately from me to the customer or they can come and pick it up. 

 

To manage the large, drop shipped items, it appears I have no choice but to mark them as "in stock" on my site even though they really aren't. Although I have a disclaimer in each item description, customers often don't read the information and it is creating a lot of problems. Also, marking an item as in stock messes with my inventory value report, because it counts out of stock items as part of my inventory. 

 

 

 

Does Square Online have any features that can help me manage this? I can't find anything. Thanks!
