Seeking opinions about Square Website builder
Hello community!
I am new at square community, but a seasonal business owner who is helping a family member revamp their website and overall strategies to increase her customer acquisition.
I read quite a few post about website, but have not found out if business owners who have been using the Square online (website builder) for their business.
She offers a service, and is looking for website to link to her square booking page.
Can anyone tell me if the site builder only for ecommerce, or can we build the site Home page, About Us, Booking page, and blog pages?
Can you share your website link that you built using square online? Im interested in seeing the possible customizations are.
Thank you in advance!
Cindy

Welcome to the Community, Cindy! Great questions and glad to have you here. You can build your website without a ecommerce function if you want to, so having a home page, about, booking, etc. is totally doable!
I'm tagging a few folks here who can help with sharing their experience with Square Online!

So we actually use Wix as our hosting partner. I integrated our square booking (we use Square Appointments) onto our website. But I totally agree with @maxpete that you can definitely build your website without the eCommerce part. Square Online is very flexible 🙂

Hi! Yes, I use Square for my website. I'm both ecomm and SERVICES. So I have a booking page and throughout my site I link to it using Square Appointments.
Depending on the services you offer I'd recommend looking into setting up your Square Appointments and then linking it to the Square GO app. I'm a huge fan of this set up and have helped several of my Esthetician mentees do this. It is more cost effective if you're just starting out and you have the ability to collect reviews, book appointments, be mobile-friendly and get customer leads from the app.

Hey Cindy!
Yes, Square Online isn’t just for eCommerce. You can definitely build a full website with a Home page, About Us, Booking page, and even a Blog. It works great for service-based businesses, and you can link the booking page easily.
I don’t have a link to share, but you can check out the templates and customization options directly in Square’s website builder.
Good luck with the website!

Hi Cindy,
I just built my site and I did my web domain using GoDaddy. It linked easily and I've been doing my best to navigate the pages to get the site the way I want it. Best of luck to you.

Hey Cindy, we recently swapped over our website from shopify to square online specifically for the fact we could include our services and not just our products. Being an electronics store that sells all your mobile devices, gaming devices ect shopify was great but for the appointments page we needed square online.
so far we have found square onlines’ website builder to be decent and once you get used to it can build some fantastic looking sites with great functionality. Feel free to checkout what we’ve done https://www.mobilebarn.shop
