Reminder Options for temporarily turning off online

We are a BBQ restaurant with a philosophy of selling until we're sold out each day. When supplies get low, we turn off online ordering so people don't order items we don't have (I tried the inventory option so that items would disappear automatically off of online, but it's a little more difficult to do with the way we sell, and having the low stock alerts pop up the next morning also doesn't work for us). With our former online ordering system, we could temporarily suspend online ordering, and we would get alerts to remind us that online ordering is turned off. With square online, the only way I remember that it was turned off is when a customer calls us 😣. I try to set my own reminders, but sometimes get sidetracked with the activities of the kitchen. SO - I say all that to request there be some kind of way to be alerted when online ordering is off. Thanks!

Right now, the feature you're looking for isn't available for your Online Store items & orders. This is some excellent feedback for our Product Team to look into on evolving the Online Store for the future.
