Postmates Tickets Print Modifications Out of Order
hey there,
Has anyone else setup post mates orders to be printed from your POS and experienced the modifications being printed in a random order?
We sell sandwiches and therefore there are a lot of modification options (size, bread type, cheese, sauces, toppings, meal combo), and they logically are in the order you build a sandwich. Users see them in the correct order, but postmates tickets print on Square with modifications in random orders, with mixed categories. It doesn’t make sense to have “Wheat Bread” at the bottom of the ticket, it should be right under the size.
I’m hoping there’s a step I’m missing but maybe this is just a current limitation of the postmates integration.

@waggydags Sorry to hear about this! Have you had a chance to contact Postmates yet to see if they have any solutions?

Their support team told me to contact Square, as they "don't have control over what square displays". I'm a software engineer and have a decent understanding of how these integrations work. As I said, I don't have this issue with Square Online orders, I am 99% sure this is an issue on their end (the way they format it before sending it to square). I have also sent them an e-mail about this, hopefully someone from their CS team can make sure that the engineering team sees it eventually.
