Pop-up window doesn't show on website during our closed hours

Our customers order 24/7 but we are only open for pickup 3 days per week (meals to go). Pop-up announcement does not show when clients order outside of our regular hours. We made a pop-up to let customers no we were closed on one of our regular days, but since most of our clients pre-order they did not see it and placed their order. We had to contact customers to cancel their order. So to prevent them for ordering I went to the settings and marked us as closed on that day. I resolved the ordering problem, but worsened the no of pop-up problem and the customers did not get an explanation of why they couldn't place there usual order.

2 questions:

How do I get the pop-up banner to show during the selected date range regardless of our hours.

Is there a vacation setting for a one time closure vs. changing our status to closed.

Welcome to Seller Community, @parsley, and thanks for your question.

Did you set a schedule for your popup? It should display consistently within that time frame, although if you check the option to not display again after someone closes it then returning customers may not see the popup again. I checked your site and didn't see the popup which makes me wonder if it was scheduled for a specific date range. For more information on popups and banner see our article on adding a popup or banner.

I just put up a pop-up announcement and changed the settings and I am able to see it when I go to my site, thanks.

With regard to my second question, is there a vacation setting to prevent ordering? I don't want to take my site down!  To deter ordering, I deleted all my hours with the exception of 5 minutes late on a Saturday night as your system required at least one open day. Unfortunately one of my regulars ordered on Sunday and assumed it would be scheduled for the next available time (usually Monday at noon), didn't notice that it was scheduled for next Saturday. I put an announcement on the home page as well as an email blast to all our customers about being closed this week. Human nature, not everyone reads it! I want my customers happy and I want to be able to close for business purposes or vacation. Any suggestions on how to accomplish this?

There isn't a way to schedule it right now, but you can go to Settings > Checkout and disable accepting online orders. That will leave everything on the site intact, but display a message stating that the store isn't currently accepting orders if someone clicks a button to add an item to their cart.

Adam, thank you for the prompt reply and the advice. I disabled online ordering which resolves my current dilemma and I hope in the future you will have a vacation/closed option.
