Online Store: Can't see shopping cart?

[The title of this thread has been edited from the original: Shopping Cart]

 

We are a restaurant and are using Weebly for our online restaurant checkout. People navigate the site okay but often I hear that there is confusion about how to check out. I've experienced this myself. If you are shopping online, after you add a product to your shopping cart, if you continue shopping and don't select another item, there doesn't seem to be a way to get back to the shopping cart - there is no shopping cart icon.

 

Should there be?

Hey @ZDeli! Thanks for the reply.

 

When you go to Online Store dashboard > Settings > Checkout:

 

 

And select Advance Settings, what do you see? I'm wondering if your settings are on Buy Now:

 

This would mean there is no cart. Let me know if that's the case. You would want it to be on Add to Cart mode.

HI!

Just want to let you know that I got the cart icon to work. My husband recommended that in the website edit mode I look at the header icons. Sure enough, shopping cart was turned off. I turned it on and the shopping cart is now there.

I inherited a square setup for a high school booster club and had never used square before. I, along with a few other moms, learned enough to use the app for in-person sales and individual items online through links. Then came the spirit shirts and families wanted to order multiple sizes through the link we sent out. YIKES! Each shirt had to be a different transactions because different sizes could not be done and the cart icon was not showing. One mom spent phone time with the help desk and problem could not be solved. I also spent quality time searching through online comments. Again, we are teachers and moms and had no idea how to work this system.

Problem was solved today.

We had been sending links from the Square Dashboard! We did not realize that items needed to be added to the online store and the link taken from there. For at least 2 years, this was what the club had done. All reports were fine. The only problem was that there was not cart because we were not linking to the actual online store.

I hope this helps someone.
