Notifications when Customers sign up

How do I set up notifications to alert me when customers create an account on my site, as I want to promptly send them an invoice after they do so. In the past, I had some customers sign up without my knowledge, and I didn't find out til  I checked manually.

Hey @annawalton59.  Can you be more specific about HOW customers create an account on your site?  Or, can you post your website URL so I can take a look and see what you mean by “create an account on my site?”  More specifics will enable me to let you know if this is possible or not.  Thanks.

They click the three lines and click on "sign in or sign up" and then they enter their email, phone number and name. Then I can find them in my customer directory and send them an invoice directly. Just like you would if you go to any website where you'd buy something you'd create an account there.

https://www.lukesbasketsonline.com/  If you click the person icon at the top you will be prompted to sign in or create an account on my website as a customer, so you can keep up with alerts sales, etc. Its not creating the account thats an issue I just want to get a notification after they do so I know they signed up

@annawalton59 Thanks.  Unfortunately, after some research I was able to conclude that there is currently no setting or other mechanism that will turn on automatic notifications for new online customer accounts.

The only workaround that I can come up with that might work is this.

Go to your customer directory and click the Filters button. Scroll down and choose the ‘Creation source’ filter.  Then select the source “online store,” and apply.  If you sort that list by last visited (or first visited) you should be able to see new accounts that way.  It’s worth a try.

You’re welcome.  I should also add this.  For a more long-term solution, head over to the Ideate Board and submit a feature request to the Square Online team.  Ask them for a setting to allow notifications when customers create new online accounts with us.
