New items disappear after adding to site

Recently, something changed. I like the way we choose which new items that have been added to our inventory can be added to a site/online store. However, this week, when I add an item to the site, then I try searching for it to add more pictures to the listing, the item is nowhere to be found! It DOES show up on my website/online store, and I can search for and find it in my library/inventory. It's only when I try to find it through the list of site items in the online store dashboard that it's completely lost to me. I've tried search by GTIN, SKU, name, and description ... nothing.

The problem appears to be in the search bar.

Step 1: Add item to inventory library on main dashboard.

Step 2: Go to Online Store dashboard and add item to site.

Step 3: Use the search bar on the Online Store Dashboard page to find the item in order to add more pictures, sort into categories, add seo, etc. ****Wait?? Why won't it show up when I search for it?!?***

Step 4: Check my website's online store and sure enough, it's there! Why can't I search for it to make adjustments?

Hey @SmartyPantsJane! Are the items still not showing? Sometimes it can take up to 24 hours for changes/items to appear so I wanted to check in and see if you're able to see them or not today. If not, let me know and I'll see what I can find out from some of our Online specialists.

Still not showing up. As I said, I can add them to the site and they show up on my website. They just won't show up in the Site Items list through my dashboard, so I have no way to do ANYTHING with them once added to the site.

Are you trying to view them from the regular items library on the Dashboard @SmartyPantsJane or on the Items tab in the online editor?

 

I'd recommend looking at them from > Items on the site editor instead of the regular Point of Sale library.

I'm having this same issue. I add items to the site using "Add from item library" and then I can't find the item in the site items list. So I can't add photos, mark as visible, anything. This is super frustrating. I'm using the site editor page. Please help!

Thanks for jumping in here and letting us know you are experiencing this similar issue, @GoGoRefill

 

Im curious - was the item in question added recently? As Nika suggested above, it can sometimes take up to 24 hours for changes to the Online Store item library to reflect.

 

If not, there may be some other unknown issue going on here. If you continue to experience this issue, I would recommend flagging this over to our Support Team directly. If need be, they can file a ticket with our engineers to take a deeper look into why this seems to be a common issue for some Sellers.

I figured out that the problem is with the search. If I scroll through all of the items I can find what I had just added. It's a pain when you add something late in the alphabet, but I was able to get through my website additions. So it looks like a bug in the search.
