I'll be honest, I've always preferred to create new items using the online catalog interface vs the one for the regular item library. It has always served me well and the layout made more sense to me than the standard item library.
I haven't really had a lot of "new" items to add lately, mostly just been making edits on existing ones, so here I am trying to add new holiday product lines now using the "merged" catalog and cannot for the life of me find the same options I have always used regularly in the online version -- primarily concerned about 1) the "copy item link" option that would let me easily copy/paste the link for instance to include in social media posts now that meta has done away with the Square integration, and 2) the "save and view" where I could generate a private link to easily check out how the new item would appear on our website before officially making it visible. (NOT the social media links preview at the bottom of the page in the standard item library, just to be clear)
Am I just missing the new location for those options or will they be completely gone now? As of right now, at least from what I can tell, to do what I've always been able to do with one click in the past, I'll now have to do extra steps making the item visible, going to the website, finding the item to preview, then going back in and hiding if it wasn't time to publish it yet, etc.
I feel like I MUST be missing something and there SHOULD still be an option to just click and do these two functions in one step like before, I just can't find it included within the item library we're all supposed to be using. Someone please tell me that I'm getting irritated for no reason and I'm just blind.
