Limit orders by items not by customer visits

I have a set capacity for items I can produce per 15 minutes (pizza in my case). I can set the order limit to 5 items per customer and the Order Limiting to 1 customer per 15 minutes to prevent running at over capacity (5 items per 15 minutes in my case). However an unintended consequence is this undersells my capacity (by up to 80% per 15 minute period). If someone orders a single item, I am unable to sell anything else in that 15 minute period.

What I would like to do is have a setting for

Item Limiting (per 15 or 60 minutes)

So that n (5 in my case) people could potentially order a single item each in that 15 minutes period.

I was blindsided by this becoming a premium feature. One evening minding my own business when I was overwhelmed by too many orders at the same time. I checked my settings and the option was no longer there for me. Surprised no one let me know, at least to try and upsell me. I had previously asked about this eventuality and didn't really get an answer.

I have also been seeking advice on benefits of the premium plans without much success (it would have been useful to have an email chat with your product team - as your support just don't know that much). I've ended up [being forced into] paying for the premium plan. BUT it does not do everything I want unfortunately, which is the reason I had been holding off.

My main issue is with inventory management to ensure I am able to track my doughballs, which I need to share amongst my "Items". Being able to subtract from a secondary inventory and having my items' stock be counted from that separate inventory list would be awesome. Hit me up if you want any more top tips, or beta testing.

Anyway, thanks and I'm still enjoying using Square very much. Long may that continue.
