Let us remove the Tickets button for Events

I am trying to create an Events page, where people can find out where I will be showing and selling my art. I submit my work to juried shows, and, if accepted by the jurors, I pay money to be in the show and sell my art there (using the Square card reader).

In none of these shows am I the ticket seller. Most of them don't even charge ticket sales to get in: they make money through the vendors, like me, buying booth space.

The fact that I can't remove the button to Get Tickets button means I can't use the Events feature at all. It seems that people have been requesting this for years.

Who are these businesses who are charging tickets sales for every event? Concert halls? Surely even a clothing store or other merchant would want the ability to have an open house event sometime...

Please add this feature. Thanks!

You may want to look things differently as I don't believe you need the Events feature at all.   Most people use this feature as it's intended and designed to promote an Event, Festival or Show that charges admission and the use of tickets is common for both sales, admisssion and tracking customers.  Some more info would be helpful - we do understand that you sell in person at Events - great.  Do you also sell online?  Regardless, you could promote your schedule online using a Free Square Website.  The site can just informational - you're not required to sell items but, the option is there if needed.  Just share your site URL via email, texts and other Social Media Platforms.  Another option is to create a page with your schedule or what ever details you want to share or promote, check out Jotform, there's tons of templates to get you started and they are easy to customize.  Once you have your page created, you can share the URL via email, text, other Social Media Platforms or embed it directly into your Square Online Website.  You can even sell online through Jotform as it can use Square to process the transactions.

I would love to see the buy tickets removal option as I do craft shows and other events that utilize my square POS for and I want one concise website. Please keep the option to buy tickets who use the event function for paid ticketing however please allow the option to remove as I would like to use the events function, as do many others, as informational section of my website and don't want to have to rethink it or have another page and it seems very easy to do- don't have the buy tickets link.

I  solved this with a pretty straightforward and user friendly workaround.

**Create your page. Mine is called "Festivals and Markets."

**Add a "Text and Image" section to the page. You can choose the layout of the section. You'll have the option to have a button. On my page I titled the button "Learn More." For events that have their own website or Facebook page, I link the button to that page via External Link that opens in another tab. For events on my own farm that charge tickets, I simply link to the appropriate page that contains all information as well as a way to purchase tickets.
