Items in my Item Library are missing from Square Online - where are they?

The title of this post has been edited from the original: New Store is missing a full category of my products

 

I'd like to migrate to (publish) the new store, but when I preview it it is missing an entire category. I made the new category and moved some items into it (in my current store) almost 2 weeks ago, but they don't show in the new version. How do I know they will be there if I publish the new store? Who can I talk to about this discrepancy between the current and new store?

There are a few things that will prevent your item from being visible on Square Online - these tips should help get you pointed in the right direction.

 

One thing I've seen that will prevent items in your Square Item Library from showing up in your Online Store is applying a variable price to an item. Because variable-priced items are currently not supported on the Online Store, you'll see this message at the bottom of your Edit Item screen while editing the item in your Square Item Library:

 

 

Another reason items could be missing from your Square Online site is if they are currently listed as Unavailable or Hidden in the Item Library section of your Square Online site. This is what you would see when editing the item within the website editor if your item is not marked as Visible

 

 

If you have multiple locations, you'll want to make sure that the items you want to appear on your Square Online site are made Available at the location synced to your Square Online site. Even if you only have one location, if the item is not Available at your location, you'll see this message when editing your item (you can manage availability by clicking the link to edit the item in your Square Online Overview Page):

This is the message you'll see in your Square Online Dashboard when editing an item:

Within your Square Sync settings, you have the ability to enable or disable the option to Mark newly imported items as “Unavailable” online. If this setting is enabled, your items will not be Visible when you add them to your Item Library:

One more thing you can look into is whether you've set a quantity in the Stock column of the Variations section when editing an item. This can affect whether your item appears on your website:

Welcome back to our Seller Community. Perhaps it can be your fulfillment method that needs to be set up for every item to be available. You can make these edits in your Online Square Store by heading over to Item Library > Click on each Item and scroll down to > Fulfillment > All. Here you can also check if they are available.

If you've gone through the tips listed here, and are still having a bit of trouble getting to a point where your items are appearing on your website as you'd like, I recommend getting in touch with our Support team, @Destressanddeto.

 

It does sound like you may have a few things going on here outside of making it so that your items are all appearing, and our team should be able to point you in the right direction if you reach out directly.

i completely agree. this weebly is a total mess.

i have been trying to make it work for days and it is like going in circles. the old site was so intuitive and it worked great. i am so frustrated. ready to go to another company if i cant settle this.

Has anyone figured out how to add items from your square to the weebly site?  I've even tried creating new items and cannot get them to show up on the site.  Super frustrated.  The old system was WAYYYYYYY Better!  SQUARE PLEASE GO BACK!

@aggiemoms Have you placed your items in categories (on the desktop, not from app as they don't sync)? If not, your items will not show no matter what. You must create categories and corresponding pages for them to show. If you've done that then I'm not sure why they wouldn't show... unless you haven't also added stock. Good luck. I have nearly 1000 items in my online store, and it has taking nearly 1000 hours to figure it all out. Lots of glitches. But if you have time to figure it all out it will eventually work for you.

@aggiemoms - I was able to take a peek at your Square Online website, and it looks like you've got many items visible there! I also recently updated the Best Answer here to include a couple of other settings that may affect item visibility.

If you're still running into a bit of difficulty with any specific items appearing, our Support team should be able to shine a light, since they can dig a bit deeper into your account.

I have created several items in my square inventory and after doing so go to the online page to ensure they are marked as "visible" but for some reason a few random items still do not appear in my weebly store. If the item is visible, is there anything else that could suppress it from showing in my weebly page? I'm at a loss to understand why this seems to be randomly occurring with some inventory items, as most of our inventory shows in our weebly webstore just fine.

Actually I just found I can get one of the missing/suppressed items  to show in my weebly store when I sort by "newest" as it was recently added a couple days ago.   Yet when I search for the item by it's name it is not appearing in the search results? I also have categorized to appear in our "coming soon" tab and it doesn't appear there either?

Hi! Thanks for reaching out about this. I'm glad to see that the items are showing under the filter, but I feel your frustration and agree we need to get them showing all the time. 

 

I've merged your post to an existing thread where Valentina does an AMAZING job offering some potential fixes for you. Please let me know if any of those help, but if not, we can always keep digging. In the event that Valentina's solutions don't work for you, please also let me know exactly which items are not showing up (if it's quite a few, give me just one or two examples).

Trying to test out the new Weebly/Square online store. I just want to do the "free" page until I learn how to use it. Any help is appreciated as I am trying to get online with about 1000 items by the end of the year if I can get this puppy working. I am able to easily create/edit the page, and item inventory import from Square. However, I cannot get my test item to appear as "available". There's inventory listed as available, there's a ship from address, and it's showing up in the menu that let's me edit. I cannot seem to make it "visible" or "available" NO MATTER WHAT. I am utterly baffled after 2.5 hours on help pages and poking around. I may be editing from the wrong menu or something, but my understanding was that I could use my Square inventory / Excel spreadsheets to build the initial items. Thanks!

Hmm. So far as I can tell it shouldn't be because of variable price, but maybe because I have Options that doesn't add a price? I can try putting the options to a price and see if that works.

 

Nope. Tried that and no dice. I have address, physical item, weight and size, and no variations that are out of stock. 

 

Perhaps I will try a digital item.

I have a bunch of items added to my dashboard. I added them to one of my categories for the site and published the site. It currently shows no items in this category. Why aren't they showing up?

Without being able to see your account, it's hard to say why they wouldn't be appearing since I can't look in on the back end.

 

We don't have access to account specifics from our online forums but I'll do my best to help generally and we can direct you to our Support Team if we're unsuccessful. 

 

Can you maybe send us a screenshot of what your category settings look like for your online store?

If you go to the Item Library and click on an item can you check that the item is set to Visible
