I am done with this place

I posted a message here last week about things stopping me from opening. I put a message in here last week and no one had any answers for me. I sent a message to support and got an email back that tech support will get back to me, that was 5 days ago. I called support and the person on the phone had such a heavy accent I couldn't understand what they were saying. This is the worst support ever.

I have had so many problems. I am on the free part thankfully and have not put any money in, just months of my time. You should not have to pay for something to work, you pay for extra features. If it doesn't work free then it won't work if you pay for it.

I am writing for people that are looking into use the online store. Not worth your time or effort. I now have to find another place and spend months setting that up. I was only able to get 400 of my items in since Oct and I have 15,000 to enter. The stuff I have to go though to make things work right is down right stupid.

Thank you Square for taking up my time that I could have used on something that would work right.

HI, the seller community is primarily other sellers helping when they can.  If they have not experienced what you are experiencing then they are not able to assist.

The Square platform is the primary platform with "Weebly" only being maintained for the grandfathered in sites.

1.  When adding stock you either have a number in the Stock column (how many you actually have) or you can leave it blank (computer will recognize as unlimited stock).  In the example image, the order was for 3, did you have 3 in the stock column?

2.  The free plan offers all features except for paid domain, paid marketing etc.  On the free plan your website is xxxx.square.site with the order emails going to the email address you originally signed up with.

3.  You need to update your Settings in 2 (two) places.

a) Home> Settings> Account & Settings> adjust everything on the left to your business specifications.

b) Online> Settings> everything on the left to your business specifications

4.  You can move the item images to appear as you wish.  Either upload in the order you want them to appear or you can click-and-hold the image to move.

5.  You can add a Required option for the pickup appointment to ensure the customer realizes they need confirmation.

Square's platform is super easy.  It is split up into sections for easy navigation.  It can include many features and options on the free plan and can grow with you when needed.

Best advice, take time to click on every section to see what is available.  It just may be named differently.

I assist here in the Community and have a few example stores.  All are not active, just for examples as I have assisted many in the past with these situations.  All are on the free plan.

Hope this helps.

Yes there is only 1 thing that does not have stock which is the disc cleaning. 98% of what I have is only 1 with a few things having 2 instock. I have put in stock for everything but the disc cleaning.

2. The free plan offers all features except for paid domain, paid marketing etc.  On the free plan your website is xxxx.square.site with the order emails going to the email address you originally signed up with.

Weebly is spoofing my email address so it goes to spam not matter what, even if it is mark as not spam. That doesn't work with SPF so it will always go to spam. For it to pass SPF alignment the reply address must be from the same domain which would be my gorillagameswi.com email address. So it will never know when I have an order and my customers will never see their emails.

3.  You need to update your Settings in 2 (two) places.

This was done when I first set up the account months ago.

I do have them in the right order but sometimes the picture is the back instead of the front when in the cart when the first picture is the front.

Thank you for your advice but I am afraid none of that will help. I did get an email from support finally today and I am going to see if an of that helps.

Square Champion

Hello @GorillaGamesWI

I'm sorry that you're having so many problems! The Square online environment is quite vast and has a lot of moving parts for sure.

I've looked into some of your prior posts, and I'm curious where you're at in the process now, if you're willing to give it one more try.

My best recommendation for building a site is to break it down into easier to manage parts:

-Start with fulfillment types. It sounds like you're just looking for pickup options, so make sure that part is configured correctly at Dashboard -> Account & Settings -> Fulfillment -> Pickup & Delivery -> Pickup. Check your hours, if there is any lead time for production, and the like. Be sure to disable delivery here so that it doesn't randomly pop up in places on you.

-With all your items, you can mass edit their website availability right from the item editor. You do this my selecting multiple via the checkboxes then hit Actions -> Set site visibility

-As for inventory tracking, I see you've been working with @HC_Charlie on this. You're definitely on the right track by exporting your item list, updating inventory, and importing your list again. You did run into a site limitation with the fact that customers can up the quantity from the checkout page. I hope that's something the dev team is working on because that can become a problem quickly. The only way that I can see to work around it is by setting inventory to one as you've been doing.

-Then it's down to layout. I like how you have your site set up now!

With all the threads you've started over the last few weeks, I'm getting confused as to where exactly you're at and what's tripping things up. If you're wanting to keep working on your square site, please let us know so we can continue to help!

Thank you for your reply. Support has finally gotten back to be today and I am going to see if any of that helps. You can look at the reply to Gold to see some of my answers. I will let everyone know if things got fixed.
