How to see button click thru on my site?

I was just told by a Weebly support agent that there is no way to see the number of clicks on the Buy button on my website. Is this true? If I can see a page visits reports should I not be able to see the number for clicks on a button as well??

That’s a tough one.  The only way I can visualize getting that number (actual buys) would be to duplicate your item in your Square library.  You’re second item of the same thing would then show in Square item sales reports once a customer completed the sale.  It’s not elegant.  You’d have two sales figures in Square — one for the item as sold through the Google ad and the other for the same item sold in your POS and/or online store.  But, I think it would work.

Hey there @RuksanaH.  What you were told is correct.  Web site statistic reports do not get so granular as to tell us how many times visitors click on various elements on web pages.  That is not just Square/Weebly, but all statistic reports.  For example, Google Analytics reports work the same way.

That being said, can you explain exactly why you need this kind of information?  I’m having a hard time figuring out how this could be useful.  I might be able to help you find another solution, if I understand your needs.  Also, there may be webpage plugins that can be used to do this, but because of the server resources that would be needed to track and store it, I would imagine those come with monthly costs.  And I’m not certain such tools exist, anyway.

I am running Google ads to drive sales to my site. The link directs them to the product page on my site. There is only one product folks can buy once they get there. So they'd have to hit the buy button to complete the transaction. The transaction is on a different website though. So I am trying to gauge how many of the clicks from the Google ads push are resulting in actual buys. I can see the number of clicks to my site but cannot measure how many of those complete the purchase so is there a way to gauge that? There are other avenues folks can get to the buy button as well on my site and the transaction site so that's why I'd like to see how many clicked the buy button and where they came from. Help!

Not sure how I would do that to mirror the action without it showing double the sales?

It wouldn’t formerly the sales. You sell one of the duplicate items exclusively  on your Google ad. The other you only offer in your online store and other channels.
