How long does it take discount codes to be available on the website?

I am working on a new site and I have created a discount code in the dashboard. It is not showing up right away on the online store, and I'm wondering why? Is there some delay before it will take effect?

I believe what's happening here is that you have set up Discounts instead of Coupons. Discounts are meant to be used with Square Point of Sale, while Coupons are created to support Square Online.

If this is the case then, you can visit the Marketing section of your Square Dashboard and click on Coupons. From there, you can create as many as you need.
