Hi!
I have a password-protected website and added some PDFs to navigation using "Add Navigation Link" -> "Link to" -> "File link". Unfortunately this uploads them to a public location that's at my domain.square.site/uploads/. The document there is public (I can load it in an incognito window). Huge problem; these are internal business documents that I had wanted to put in one private place for people to review.
As soon as I realized my mistakes, I removed the links to the documents. This did NOT remove the documents from my uploads/ folder, but it DID make it impossible to ask for help from Support, as they can only remove documents that I have a URL for.
On one hand, maybe it's ok as they shouldn't be crawled by search engines, right??
robots.txt:
User-agent: * Disallow: /
On the other hand, it's frustrating to be told that these documents will live on Square's servers forever and there is absolutely no way for them to locate PDFs in my uploads/ folder unless I or someone else finds them in a Google search months or years from now.
Does anyone, anywhere, have advice for tracking down all the PDFs an admin uploaded to a Square site? I kinda can't believe Weebly/Square can't do this but Support assured me that there is not a single person at the company who would be able to help me. I did my best to ask different ways for them to find the information but they don't have the tools.
Thank you!
PS - I spent an hour and a half trying to work this through with Support and they have assured me that there isn't even one person at Weebly/Square who could help me locate these documents until they show up in Google. They suggested I ask on this forum.

One last thing - I know that removing the navigation link didn't delete the files from my uploads/ folder because I had two URLs that I have requested Support to delete.
However there are others that I didn't save the URL for (I just didn't realize I needed to, I thought there were admin tools on this platform that would help me manage my documents) and I'd love to get to the bottom of where those are and who has access to them.
