Help with set up of options with limited quantity.

I sell t-shirts and Sweatshirts with screen print transfers applied to them. Sometimes I only have ONE screen print transfer available but I'd like to give the customer the option to chose tshirt or sweatshirt,  color and size.

I setup the item using the name of the screen print that they have the option to have applied to a tshirt or sweatshirt in their chosen size and color.

1. T-shirt or sweatshirt is set up as a variation.

2. Size is set up as a variation

3. T-shirt and sweatshirt colors are set up as 2 separate modifiers. With a note to make sure they are picking the correct color for a t-shirt or sweatshirt.

How do I limit the quantity of the screen print transfer that I'm selling to be applied to the tshirt or sweatshirt?

Can I set something up to where if they pick t-shirt they only get the size option and the color options for the t-shirts?

@WildDaisy  Welcome to the community. There is a way you  have the customer select T-shirt or Sweatshirt, the size and color and set your inventory for each one.

What you need to do is set everything up in the options. You could do options Style, Color and Size. Style for T-Shirt and Sweatshirt, Color for your shirt colors, and Size for your sizes. See the photo below.

Overlook the Shark, Dinosaur and Cow in my style in the photo.

The next photos show you how they will appear in the variations. In the variations you can set your quantities.

Here is the only problem you may run into.  If you are new to setting up a Square website, it appears that square has removed the dropdown box and the only option is a radio button, so that could pose a problem by have a bunch of radio buttons on the page.

I hope this gives you a general direction to start, if you run into any problems reply back here and we will help you figure it out.

This is a great info! Thank you! I've tried doing it this way but I'm hitting a road block and I think I have a complex issue.

I may only have ONE of a screen print, say this is a Frog print, but the customer will have the choice to pick either a t-shirt or sweatshirt in their requested size, to apply that Frog print to. If I enter in the quantity of each type, color and size available, it would allow the customer to order multiples of the Frog print when I only have 1 available to purchase.

I tried to set a max quantity of 1 but that seems to only be 1 per order and 2 customers could order that one print on 2 separate orders.

I hope I'm making sense here.

@WildDaisy I understand what you are saying.  Maybe try this.

Make an item called Frog Print and enter the quantity as 1.

then go to modifiers and make a modifier for each option.

1st make a modifier called Shirt put in T-Shirt and Sweatshirt.

2nd make a modifier called Size and enter your sizes.

3rd make one called Color and enter your color choices.
This way you can control the quantity and still give the customers the options.
