Feature Request: Select location before building a cart

Has Square considered this option? It is the main complaint from my customers. Mistakes happen daily sending orders to wrong locations. I know other similar businesses complain about the same issue. Has Square considered location selection before the customer builds a cart and checks out? Similar to other major food apps.

Thanks for posting in the Seller Community.

 

I can see how it may be easier to select location prior to building the cart. We're still working on optimizing the Square Online Store for sellers with multiple locations, as we know right now it's not ideal. This is great insight, and I'll make sure to pass it along to the appropriate team. In the future, I know we're hoping for sellers to be able to create separate pages per location to make it easier to differentiate and avoid mistakes like that.

I'm really puzzled by this. Customers to my online store get a pop-up asking which location they want to pick up from. Since we only have one, this is irritating, unnecessary and a deterrent for them to continue.

 

The only way around it is to change the template to 'Shop All'. Since we are a cafe, the 'Order Online' template is far better suited.

 

Has there been a recent change to this to add exactly what the OP was asking for If so, someone hasn't thought about stores with only one location enabled for pickup/delivery.

 

I got rather confused when this behavior started when I enabled Square for Restaurants Free and got support to revert me to Square POS but the unnecessary popup persists.

 

If anyone can shed any light on how to bypass this popup, I'd be grateful

I had raised my problem with Square support but they said that "Weebly team have assured me it is an engrained feature with the online order page". However, today the site seems to be working properly. I suspect they implemented the 'select location before building a cart' feature without properly considering the single location scenario. Anyway, I'm happy now!

Is this an option yet? I see other sites that have a 'choose a location' popup upon visiting their online store, but I can't for the life of me figure out how they do it. Here's what I'm wanting to do upon first visiting my page.

This pop-up should already be coming up as shown in your picture when customers go to their cart to checkout.
