Feature Request: Improved Compatibility Between Square POS & Online Store

I have the basic Square POS system in my store and run my online store through Square Online. I would love to see these two platforms integrated a bit further. 

 

Specifically in reference to sale pricing. I can add a sale price to an item in the online store, but that doesn't transfer over to my items in store, which would be offered at the same sale price. It becomes very clunky and repetitive to have to change all of my prices in two separate places even though it should be all the same. 

 

I do appreciate having the flexibility to offer different coupons online and in-store, but generally I would think most retail platforms would benefit from only changing the sale price of a specific item one time. 

 

Also, in reference to integration, I shouldn't have to sign in and out every time I want to switch between 'Square Online' and my 'Square store,' seems like an extra unnecessary step. Less important than adjusting sale prices though. 

 

Would love to see this updated in the near future! Thanks!

Hi again @compassrose01 🌹 Thanks for sharing your asks here! If we have an update about the way coupons and discounts interact with your POS and Square Online website, we will surely add a new post announcing the change in this thread.

 

I wanted to dig in about one thing you brought up here. You shouldn't have to sign in and out every time you want to visit your Square Online overview page (I think that's what you're referring to). If you are viewing your Square Dashboard, all you should need to do to view your Square Online overview page is click the Online button:

For some reason it signs me out, usually when I'm switching from Square Online to Square Dashboard. Not sure why!

That's certainly odd!

 

I'm looking into this internally to see if anyone has heard of this happening. In the meantime, I recommend reaching out directly by logging into your Square account and heading here. What operating system and what browser are you using, @compassrose01?

Do you have third-party cookies disabled in your browser?

That would prevent the login session from being stored in your browser cookies.
