Feature Request: BOGO (Buy one, get one) and other automatic discounts via my Square Online website

The title of this post has been edited from the original:  Can automatic discounts be used on the online store?

When I create automatic discounts, such as quantity or amount discounts, they work perfectly well on my point of sale but do not work on my online store.

Can anyone help me?

Hello there!

I appreciate all your patience while we work to get this feature implemented. The beta testing for this feature has currently been delayed. Our team is working very hard on the backend to resolve some roadblocks that have prevented this from going. If you would still like to join the Beta for this request you can certainly still do so. Hi! We'll be launching a beta test for Automatic Discounts on Square Online in the next couple of weeks. Head over to Automatic Discounts for Square Online to join the Beta Community and request access to this beta test.

Currently, the Online Store doesn't support Buy-one-get-one coupons. However, you can assign standard discounts to certain categories. From the site editor,  visit Items > Coupons > Add Coupon. You'll find an option to choose eligible categories under Discount Details at the bottom of the page.

This feature absolutely needs to be added. Every other major (& some minor) competitors have this feature readily available to use. I stuck with square, even upgraded my site with you... but updates like these which should be basic function in todays marketplace apps, are very slow with square. People love the idea of entering coupon codes in at checkout as a failsafe... it should be streamlined.

Just leaving a comment so I can receive notification when this feature is added to Square Online.  Agree with others that this feature is a MUST HAVE.

We have events priced by person, with a limited number of people per event (managed by inventory).  However, we offer a discount for family/households of up to four people.  We'd like to either have the ability to create a negative-cost modifier ("Family of 3" or "Family of 4" with negative value), or the ability to automatically apply a discount/coupon value if the person has checkboxed a modifier ("Family of 3" or "Family of 4" with zero value, but then discount applied).

Can't quite believe I've only just found out that the automatic discounts I set up in my square dashboard don't work in the online store, the store I've just spent a month building! Excuse me while I just go and have a cry.....!!!!!

What a waste of time. Thankfully I didn't purchase the pro plan before having a good test of the published site.

There needs to be a feature for buy one get one coupons! All the other eCommerce platforms have them and I so badly wish I could allow my customers to buy an item and get another item for like 20% off for example. Wish there were more options than just a percent or $ off.
