Editing an order

Editing an order

There doesn't appear to be a way to edit an order after it has been made. This would be useful for customers who put in a wrong address or want to update an address (add an apartment number, delivery instructions), or customers who want to change the date/ time of their delivery/ pickup order.

I would love to see the option to change the order status. It would also be nice if there were other options like: Awaiting Inventory, In-Process, Missing Info, etc... Customizable options would be best.

Any updates on this? We sell seafood by weight. Its the ONE thing keeping me from totally changing from shopify to square. I have to edit almost every single online order because we only post online one pound portions of fish, during fulfillment they get something different, less or more of what they ordered and we send an invoice for the difference.

While we don't have an exact ETA on this feature for you, seeing these types of posts help our engineering team when working on product updates. We appreciate you expressing how this would benefit your type of business! 

We are eager to see this update as well.  We use online ordering and have people calling to change their pickup dates.  Without being able to do this in Orders, we have no way of tracking these changes to ensure they are prepared on the correct date.  We would love to be able to change the fulfillment date

any update on this. It’s insane that square does not allow editing after an order is made. Size / Color changes happen all the time. This is a complete dealbreaker for us, and we were very seriously considering moving our entire operation to square from Shopify + Klaviyo. We’d love to have everything integrated, but pointless restrictions like this make it impossible. Squares POS system is awesome, but their web side is garbage. It’s a shame. 

This is insane--2 years later and yall still haven't updated your online site to accommodate the customer on behalf of small biz. SHOPIFY I GO

@_Violet any update? We need to decide this week if we're going to move forward with moving our complete operation over to square. We currently do roughly 1/2 million per year in business, but little stuff like this is a complete dealbreaker for us.

The ability to edit a Square Online order after it has been completed is still a feature request at this time. We will update this feature request thread accordingly, should anything change.
