Discount code only working on one item not on all lines!

Hi!

I have set up a discount code to take 10% off my sticker categories. However when I test the code online - the discount is only ever coming off one line - the one that is the highest value - rather than all of them.

 

How can I make this work?  I have had this problem before - and submitted a request to Square - but have not had a response back and its been a couple of weeks. I am involved in an online event and would like to offer a discount for newsletter subscribers - but I just can not get the coupon / discount to work the way I want it to.

 

Example: Code set up for 10% off items in certain categories.  All items fall in these categories.

Shopping cart of 4 items - discount *should* be applied to all 4:

Item 1 = £1.00 (should be 90p)

Item 2 = £2.00 (should be £1.80)

Item 3 = £3.00 (should be £2.70)

Item 4 = £3.50 (should be £3.15)

 

What happens:

Item 1 = £1.00 

Item 2 = £2.00 

Item 3 = £3.00 

Item 4 = £3.50 (discount applied to = £3.15)

-- Discount is not being applied to all items - only highest value.

 

Any help welcome as this is driving me crackers.  I keep trying different ways - but all is happening is that I have a long list of coupons in my list I have deactivated and can't clear off!!

Unfortunately this option is no longer available. Either the discount is for EVERYTHING in the cart or it's for the highest priced item in a particular category. 

 

When Square moved coupons from online to marketing the functionality changed. It's really hurting a lot of us retailers but so far it hasn't been adjusted. 

 

We decided to INCREASE our individual discount which forced us to reprint all our marketing. Fingers crossed this reverts soon.

How frustrating that the functionality is messed up following the move. At least I know to stop trying to make it work… 🫠
