Hello,
I have two businesses (managed by 2 different locations) in the same Square account. I just created a website for one and realized that I accidentally created it under the wrong location (oops.) How do I switch this website to the other location? I haven't been able to find it. Do I just need to recreate under the correct location?

Hi @dnphotography - you can change the location synced to your Square Online website! 👍✨
Start by heading over to your Square Online Dashboard, then find the Settings button in the menu on the left-hand side. Click that, then Square Sync, and you'll see this at the top of your screen:
To change the location synced to your website, hit Change location and select the location you'd like to be synced instead. - I hope this helps!

You are absolutely correct. After taking a deeper look, it looks like the Square Sync option has moved within the Online Dashboard.
You can now find it under Square Online Dashboard > Items > Item Sync > Selected Location.

Hello @CCUFoundation,
Great to see you posting in the Seller Community, welcome!
It is very much a possibility the location settings have been rearranged again.
Every once in a while we get the urge to Feng-shui the dashboard 😂! Try the following path:
If you are logged into your Square Dashboard point of sale, go to the 3 bars to populate the other menu to the left, then select > Online Store> Select Shared settings on the left > item sync.
From there, it should give you the ability to sync the location you intended.

If after attempting the steps above you had no success, perhaps it would be beneficial to call into our Customer Success phone support so they can look at your account specifics and set up.
There are a number of factors to take into consideration here as well if that didn't work.
i.e. if You are a legacy Weebly account user, there are certain limitations and functions that would not appear.

I called support several times, and I have not resolved my issue. Very, Very, UNHAPPY!

I really need to understand how to do this? I have several locations in my square account. I spent 2.5 hours on the phone with support just to get hung up on. Somehow one of my locations is syncing to a location that no longer exists from when weekly first took over. I really need this issue corrected. If I could disconnect and reconnect the sync, it may correct the issue.

Hey @angienoyes, is there a specific error message you're seeing when trying to update your items sync?
There's something we can try. On your Square Online site overview, if you go into Fulfilment > Shipping > Edit, can you check if the location inventory is being pulled from is correct?

This did not fix my problem unfortunately. The location that I need the inventory to pull from is not listed. Those locations are inactive.

was this ever resolved? I have had this issue before and was able to change the attached location to a specific site. But tonight I've spent an hour looking for how to do it and can't find the same solution I've used in the past! Including after reading this thread. Anyone find a solution?
Seems simple.
I have location A and location B.
I have website 1 and website 2.
Website 1 is linked to location A. I want to switch it to have website 1 linked to location B. Simple...but how?!

Unfortunately for me it was never resolved after hours and many days on the phone and lots of finger pointing between square and a square online. I ended up having to go a totally different route. Such a shame too as this website worked for me for many years until it broke.

think I got it, unless you and I are looking to do different things....
online page
fulfillment
pickup & delivery
then choose one of the locations listed and click "edit"
then site visibility
this then brings up a list of all your sites w/ a checkmark if they are attached to that specific square location
so you can "uncheck" from the square store you won't want it attached to, and "check" for the store you do want it attached to.
That should do it.
of course if one of your locations isn't setup yet, just go through that process rather than "edit" listed above. but that's easy. good luck hope this helps!

I had this issue with an additional location I accidentally created during Square set up.
The solution that worked for me March 2024 was:
Online > Fulfillment > Shipping > Edit Shipping Location
Note prior to this I had already deleted the extra location I had added.
