I would like to add a drop down in my product descriptions for ingredients on my website. Can anyone give me insight on how I can make this happen with Square?

Hey @FilleryHouse. You can’t currently add a drop-down in product descriptions. At this time, I can think of a couple of work-arounds.
First, since the description field allows rich-text formatting, you could just include the ingredients in a formatted list using the item editor found in your dashboard > Online > Items > Site Items. Of course, the disadvantage here is that the ingredients always display.
Another option would be to have one or more webpage(s) dedicated to your item ingredient lists. Then you would add a link in the item description which would take visitors to your ingredient list page(s). That would have the advantage of being cleaner and less cluttered.
I hope one of those helps, and if you need any further information about how to implement one of those, just let me know.
If my answer resolves your issue, please take a minute to mark it as Best Answer. That helps people who find this thread in the future.

Thank you so much! Do you know if there is a way to get information on upcoming updates or to make suggestions for improvements? Appreciate your suggestions! I'm secretly hoping I log in tomorrow and there is a new capability, I've seen sites powered by Shopify that have this feature and it looks really nice/clean.
Thank you!

Hello @FilleryHouse !
Tagging in for @TheRealChipA here... you can request feature addons and improvements over on the Ideate section of this forum. The dev team frequently checks for requests.
I will also agree with this request: having ingredient information here in a collapsible format would be fantastic: you can always enter it in the description of course, but then the page just ends up looking cluttered.

Thanks @ryanwanner. I missed @FilleryHouse‘s reply post, somehow. Probably because it got lost in the 42 notifications I had yesterday when I came here! LOL. I appreciate your follow up which is exactly what mine would have been, for some strange reason. Ha.
