I am not happy with the Checkout link for subscriptions.
What I miss is a form where the customer can enter his Name and Address and an automatic generation of Tax based on his location.
In the current setup, I can only hope that the user pays with an email that is the same he is using in our system to match the payment with the subscription.
Please let me know if I submitted this request in the wrong community

Hey @jacokoppelaar and welcome to the Seller Community!
I can assure you that you are in the right place, and I apologise that no one has gotten back to you sooner!
To collect addresses on memberships please go to Square.online > Settings > Checkout > Customer inputs > Always collect buyer address for > Non Physical Items
The place you arrive in should look like this and allow you to start collecting addresses on subscription purchases!
You can also select this option for when the recipient may be different to the buyer :
Follow this path:
Square.online > Settings > Checkout > Customer inputs > Always collect recipient address for > Non Physical Items
Thank you for your post, glad to have been able to share with you this information to get this working for you!

Hello, thanks for your earlier response. I have now edited the above on my dashboard but it doesn't still collect customer info before subscribing. After I saved the new settings, I tried to do a test subscription and it still goes straight to just card payment and information, this is 3 hours after updating the setting.
Do you reckon it takes up to 24hours to update?
Thanks

Hey @FFresh, I'm just stepping in here! The changes are usually instantaneous. I had a play with it on my end here and it doesn't look like the address field is coming up for subscription checkout link, so I'm going to check in with our ECOM specialist team for some further clarification as to how we can set this up.

Hey @tranguyen how long do you think the ECOM specialist team will take to sort it out, weeks or months? This will enable me to know how to deal with my potential customers please. Thanks

Apology this has taken longer than expected @FFresh! The team are still double-checking the expected behaviour in this case and I'm hoping to hear back by next week so will follow up with more information once I know more.

What is the result of this please?
I too have selected to require an address for subscriptions and only get offered the name and email fields at checkout.
Thank you
Andrew

Apology for the delayed reply here @director_oxmark! From checking with our team, this appear to be the expected behaviour at the moment. It appears that there's a slight difference between the different Square Online Checkout links. The settings on the Square Online site would only applied to links that are for Sell an item or Sell classes or tickets, but not links that are for collecting payments or subscriptions at the moment.
I've flagged this as a feature request with our Product team so they can consider it for future updates.

+1 on this feature request please Tranguyen - the Subscriptions feature in SquareUp is great but we really need to be able to collect the customers delivery address details if they are subscribing to a product based subscription service.
We are reluctantly looking at using alternative solutions, such as Subbly, in providing a subscription service to our customers. SquareUp is not currently up to the task at hand which is a real shame.
