Square Online Setup

I have been trying to set up online QR ordering and Pickup option for last 2 days but not been successful. Customer service is not much help. How do you guys set that up. Can you even create both in one page and then have some items unavailable for takeaway options?

Setting Up QR Code Ordering

  1. From your Square Online overview page, navigate to Fulfilment > QR code ordering.
  2. Select Set up QR codes for the location you want to enable QR code ordering.
  3. Choose the items for QR code ordering using the checkboxes, then select Continue.
  4. Add instructions for placing and receiving orders, then select Continue.
  5. Create ordering stations that match your business setup, then select Continue.
  6. Set QR code ordering hours or import and customize hours from another location. Choose your locationโ€™s time zone and select Continue.
  7. Manage other settings and select Done when finished. If prompted, publish your website from the Square Online site editor.
  8. Select Get QR code for the location you just set up to download your QR codes.


Setting Up Pickup Orders


For detailed instructions for setting up pickup ordering, please refer to this Support Centre article. Hereโ€™s a quick summary of the key steps:

  1. From your Account & Settings page, navigate to Fulfillment > Pickup & Delivery.
  2. Select Set up location for the location you want to enable pickup.
  3. Indicate that you want to offer pickup by selecting Yes.
  4. Decide if you'll calculate and assign pickup times automatically.
  5. Select Continue to complete your pickup setup.
  6. Select Continue to check which sites your location should be available on.
  7. Select Continue to review your settings so far and finish. Then, select Edit to configure additional settings.
  8. Choose if you want your orders picked up at specific times or any time during your pickup hours.
  9. Toggle the ability to mark orders as Ready before marking as Complete, and select when you want your order tickets to print.
  10. Set the hours and days of the week customers can have their orders delivered.
  11. Set up pickup-related settings, including a curbside option if desired (business phone number required), minimum order amount, and pickup instructions.
  12. Adjust any remaining Location details and Site visibility settings.
  13. Select Save when finished.


Note:
 Items must have QR code ordering or pickup selected as a fulfillment method. More on that below!

Customising Item Availability


To answer your question , you can set up certain items to be available for QR code ordering only or pickup only.

To sell items online, you need to select how they will be fulfilled when ordered from your website. Hereโ€™s how to set up fulfilment methods for your items:

  1. From your Square Item Library, select an existing item to bring up the Edit Item page.
  2. Under Fulfilment > Online Fulfilment Methods > click Edit.
  3. Use the checkboxes to indicate the fulfilment methods for that item and click Done.
  4. Select Save when finished.
