Square Online - Issue with Google Indexing

I am seeking support from Square & input from the community with a ongoing issue with website performance and how its limiting exposure of the square online platform and sales. A large part of getting online sales (and square getting its commission of said sales) is through google. I noticed a disproportionate number of sales for items that are 'in googles index' vs item pages that are not in googles index. How can we prove this and determine what the cause is?

Google Search Console

This product allows you to see what pages are on Google's index, when they were last added, and if are planned to be crawled. Over the summer we added 55 new products to the site and none of them appear on google. You can see in GSC that the pages have been discovered on my site-map by Google and have yet to be added. This was over a month ago that google attempted to index these. Not having these products found by common google searches reduces my own sales alongside the commission square stands to generate from these missing items.

So why wont GSC add these pages to the Google Index (search)?

Google states that any attempt to crawl a website that causes it to slow down, or if the site performance is so low that it may crash the site via the indexing then it will stop. This can occur if you have slow site performance. Using Google Page Speed Insights we can test the response time of Square Online and if the site responds in a manner fast enough for Google Search Console to index it. Running the google speed page test resulted in a response speed of 1 out of 100 (the lowest response on mobile) with delays as long as 17.6seconds on mobile and 38 of 100 on desktop.

It is my own belief that the slow response time of Square Online is causing Google Search Console to abandon the indexing of new pages. Square is a incredibly well priced nearly free platform. However slow web performance affects the sales of people who use the platform and in turn hurt square. If the performance of the website was better more pages of your store could be added to the Google Index increasing exposure and then sales for you and Square.

If someone from Square could reply and let me know if they have a solution that would be great.

If people from the community want to see how many pages they actually have on Google you can use Google Search Console or type into google site:yourdomainhere.com and it will tell you how many pages actually exist.

Having swapped from shopify to square recently we have gone from 18k indexed pages to 192. We have the same issue with a growing list of pages discovered but not indexed. Cmon square pick up your game! Iโ€™ve read so many different articles relating to the poor core web vitals scores and square online performance in general. We need this fixed asap!

Has there been any solution to this? My page is having the same issue with all my new products not being indexed.  How do I fix this?

There is no solution to this, this problem has been going on for awhile now.

I am also having a similar problem. Wondering if Square users that have a Plus or Premium account have the same experience. Are the 'freebie' sites being penalized?

Update: square is too slow (JavaScript is too large ect.) and that is the reason for pages not indexing
