Embed square 'online checkout' page on wix website

Hi, I have recently created a wix website and wanted to embed a square 'online checkout' page onto one of the pages. I have created the items on square and got the online checkout link to one of my items and used wix's embed website tool to add it to the page. It successfully shows and is working fine but I tested the live site and once I have entered text into all my options boxes etc and hit checkout. It comes up with an error message findShard failed. Not enough info to figure out which shard to use. I am not sure what this means or why it doesn't work. Could you please give me some advice on what to do and how to resolve the issue. Thanks!

Hey @barlo06, thanks for flagging this! This isn't a common error message I've come across before. If possible, would you mind sharing the Wix website and the individual checkout link? There are a few things I'd like to test on my end and see if that will help with the issue.

Hi, here are the links.

I have embedded my square site as a shop on one of my pages as well and this doesn't come up with the same error message but once I hit 'buy now' it just says, there are no items in the cart and I cannot do anything further?

LINKS :

1. Main shop page on wix (with square site embedded) https://www.littlepaddocksflowers.com/shop-1

2. One of the checkout links embedded on wix https://www.littlepaddocksflowers.com/festive-flower-basket

3. Original checkout link https://checkout.square.site/buy/GLNMOREGCBBWIGM4L42FBRZM

Hope this helps to solve the problem!

Thanks.

Thanks for sending that on @barlo06! From looking into this, the checkout link itself is working as normal (the third link you sent) on all different devices. This seems to potentially be an issue with how Wix is reading the embedded code. In this case, the team recommend reaching out to Wix directly. You can contact their support team here

Since you're using a Wix website, Square does have an integration with Wix as well. You can find out more about it here. This may be an alternative to using the checkout link for payment.
