Hello Square Support Team,
I’m reaching out regarding an issue with the Square navigation links that I use to promote items on sale. Specifically, I link these navigation options to direct customers to items with active discounts, ensuring they can easily find any items currently on promotion. However, although my recent sale has ended, the items that were part of the promotion continue to appear under the “sale” filter. I’ve tested this extensively on multiple browsers, in incognito mode, and even on a mobile device separate from my laptop. This is not a cache issue on my end but rather appears to be a caching or display bug within Square.
This is impacting my business as customers may assume items are still on sale when they are not, leading to potential confusion and frustration. I rely on this functionality to manage promotions effectively, especially as I plan to run more sales and discounts that may be turned on and off at various times. It’s crucial that these items only appear under the sale filter when the discount is actively applied.
Could you please advise on how to address this issue? A reliable solution is essential to ensure that my customers only see items under the sale filter when they are actively discounted.
Thank you for your assistance,

Hi @JTPets !
An engineer has conducted a resync of your catalog and reindexed the discounts. Can you confirm that your site is showing the items at the correct prices?
Thanks!

This appears to have resolved the issue, do we know what caused it so it does not happen again?
Thank you!

@JTPets I have asked the engineers what could have happened. Sometimes they just chalk it up to a "glitch". I will be back with their response!

"This is primarily just an issue of data getting updated correctly on their site. Nothing that the Seller did to cause this and reindexing on our end resolved the issue pretty quickly so it seems like their catalog should be in good shape now."
This is the response I received. Unfortunately it doesn't give too much insight.
If this happens again, please circle back to this thread and tag me and I will be sure to get back on the engineers.
