So, tonight I wrote one of the best emails I've ever written. I was so excited to send it to customers. I just needed a few more sentences that I was struggling with - so I figured the AI generation would be useful. I generated what I needed, put the cursor at the end of what I had written so far, and clicked "insert". And watched in horror as the entire email I had written was replaced with the AI generated content.
1. Why does this content overwrite what you've already written? Append it. We can make the necessary changes if we need to remove the original text. Or insert it at the end. Or anything that doesn't delete non-boiler-plate content that's been written.
2. Why does the email get saved as a draft, even if you haven't told it to? I had my well written email saved as a draft. So when it was overwritten, I immediately closed the tab, logged in again, returned to marketing, and opened it fresh. And my text was still gone, because it had autosaved without prompting.
3. WHY IS THERE NO UNDO/REDO IN THE DESIGN COMPONENT OF EMAIL (or any) MARKETING? This is ridiculous. Add undo/redo ability for actions completed in the design phase.
I am so upset with Square's poor design this evening.
