How to Email Class Reminders?

We are about to start selling classes through Square, both POS and online, and I'm curious the best way to either automatically (ideal) email customers, or manually email them reminders that the class is happening. Square support said the best bet is going to the customer directory and filtering to customers who've purchased a particular class/event and then creating a campaign. Are there better ways I'm unaware of?

The square support answer seems to be right on track. You can select all of your audience, or you can go through your customers and put them into groups.. Once you create a group (ie; Say Cheese) for those people that you selected to make it easier for future email and marketing campaigns. 

 

Once you get the leg work for automation set up, your future email and marketing campaigns will be a breeze.

I don't see an option to filter on the class I created.
