An all-in-one solution, Square Point of Sale is easy to set up, use and customise for businesses of all sizes. It’s free to use with no long-term commitments or hidden fees.
Accept payments in-person and remotely
You can download Square Point of Sale to any supported Android or iOS device to accept payments anywhere. Square works with any Irish-issued and most international chip & PIN or magnetic stripe cards with a Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Visa Electron or Vpay logo.
Square Point of Sale works for you, wherever you want to sell. With Square, you can also create a free custom website quickly to sell online, send checkout links, create QR self-ordering, send invoices and take remote payments on your computer - all from the one place.
Manage inventory
Square Point of Sale gives you the basic tools to stay organised with your inventory. You can easily sync your Point of Sale app and your online items, set stock alerts for popular items....
Get sale insights and analytics
In addition to taking payments and tracking inventory, Square allows you to discover new insights about your business with analytics and advanced reporting options, which you can view in-app, on your Dashboard or export to add to your records.
Manage team members
Square caters to businesses of all sizes. Square’s Team Management allows you to manage your team easily across locations, set up permissions and track timecards. There is a free plan or a paid plan for Team Management to meet your business needs.
Pricing for Square Point of Sale
There is no setup fee or subscription fee; when you sign up for Square Point of Sale in Ireland you’ll only pay when process a payment through Square:

1.75% + VAT for card present payments |
This includes contactless payments and inserted (Chip + PIN) transactions accepted with the Square Reader, Square Stand or Square Terminal, and payments made with Square Invoices and in-person payments APIs. |

2% + VAT for payments that are manually keyed-in to the Square Point of Sale app |
The higher fee for manually keyed-in transactions is due to a greater risk involved with these payments, as neither the card nor the cardholder need to be present for the payment to be processed. |

2.5% + VAT for payments taken with Virtual Terminal and Square Invoices.* |
